Historic Achievement! AIIMS Jodhpur sets a new precedent by successfully treating a 9-year-old boy with a rare genetic form of dystonia caused by the KMT2B mutation, marking Rajasthan’s first such procedure! This condition led to severe, painful twisting movements in various parts of his body.

The boy underwent a bilateral pallidotomy, significantly improving his condition. Multidisciplinary approach involved pediatric neurologists, neurosurgeons, interventional radiologists, anaesthetists and Rare disease experts. Surgery, performed free of cost under Ayushman Bharat, offers new hope for similar cases.

*A Journey of Life: AIIMS Jodhpur Conducts its first Historic Cadaveric Kidney Transplant, Showcasing the Power of Organ Donation*

In a ground-breaking medical feat, AIIMS Jodhpur successfully conducted the first cadaveric kidney transplant on February 25th, a testament to the power of organ donation that transcends the boundaries of life and death. AIIMS Jodhpur is already doing live related transplants but this is a historical landmark to conduct first deceased renal transplant that will bring hopes to the patients waiting for kidney transplant.

Executive Director AIIMS Jodhpur Prof. Dr. G D Puri congratulates the whole team of Drs at AIIMS Jodhpur on achieving this remarkable feat.

Various services / facilities were Inaugurated by Chief Guest hon'ble Union Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya on the occasion of 4th Convocation of AIIMS Jodhpur.
