Abstract Submission Guidelines
- The abstract should be submitted by email only to isaconjodhpur2017@gmail.com
- The last date of abstract submission has been extended to 25 July 2017.
- It is mandatory that the first (main) author should be the presenting author and the award will only be given to the first author.
- Give your choice for presentation (E-Poster/Podium presentations).
- Weightage will be given to research studies for podium presentation.
- The Scientific Committee reserves the right to make the final decision on the mode of presentation.
- Author who wishes to participate must register for the Conference.
- Researchers are allowed to submit more than one abstract as presenting author.
- Abstracts must be original and must not be or have been published or presented at any other meeting.
- Please mention your conference registration number while abstract submission.
- Candidates whose abstract have been accepted / rejected will be intimated via e-mail by 1st week of August.
Abstract Format Guidelines for Podium Presentation
- Word Limit: The abstracts should be within 250 words and the entire submission must fit on a single page. (Please Note: graphs / tables / images should not to be included in the abstract).
- Language: Abstract must be typed and presented in English.
- Font Type: Abstracts should be prepared in Microsoft Word, Times New Roman Font, 12 point with single line spacing, with the title in boldface.
- Content: The submitted abstracts must contain the following:
- Objectives: State the main objective of the study.
- Materials and methods: Briefly describe the design of the study and how it was conducted.
- Results: Present the main results with appropriate statistics.
- Conclusion: Limit the conclusions to those that are directly supported by the results.
- Do not begin sentences with numerals. Standard abbreviations may be used without definition.
- It is the author's responsibility to submit a correct abstract. Any errors in spelling, grammar or scientific fact will be reproduced as typed by the author.
Abstract Format Guidelines for E Poster Presentation
- Allowed word count: 250 words.
- Language: Abstract must be typed and presented in English.
- The abstract shall contain the following headings:
- Title
- Introduction
- Methods/Case report
- Results: One (ONLY ONE) most relevant table/ image / graph / illustration MUST
- Conclusion
- References (Two, most relevant)
Guidelines for Final E Poster Presentation
- Only E-Posters are permitted.
- Posters may be designed on single slide MS Power Point or Templates
- The poster should be static. Do not embed any dynamic visual elements.
- The final E-posters should be submitted by 15th August 2017.
- The E-Posters submitted will be deemed as final. No further changes to the poster will be allowed to the day of presentation.
- Poster presentation
- Please check and be present at your allocated time slot for the poster judging.
- The Presenter will be provided an overall time of 5 minutes including discussion.
- The abstract shall contain the following headings:
- Title
- Introduction
- Methods/Case report
- Results: One (ONLY ONE) most relevant table/ image / graph / illustration MUST
- Conclusion
Guidelines for Final Podium Presentation
- For podium presentation laptop with MS Windows will be provided.
- Personal laptops will not be permitted.
- All presentations should be prepared on/saved as MS power-point.
- Content: The submitted abstracts must contain the following:
- Objectives: State the main objective of the study.
- Title: To be complete, relevant, including relevant statistical terminology
- Key Words: 3-5 relevant MeSH keywords
- Introduction: To contain Background and Aims
- Methods: To mention ethical committee permission, patient consent, duration of study, inclusion-exclusion criteria, sample size calculation based on power of study, randomization technique, statistical tests used including p values, tests of comparison and version of software used, Primary and secondary study criteria clearly defined, definitions of grades, scoring systems, confounding variables and limitations, if any, rescue techniques /drugs.
- Results: To begin with demographics, study criteria/ parameters (Primary and Secondary), adverse / side effects. Present the main results with appropriate statistics.
- Discussion: (should focus on aims, study parameters/criteria, related studies with correlations, complications/adverse / side effects and management, confounding variables and limitations, if any, future scope of study)
- Conclusion: Limit the conclusions to those that are directly supported by the results.
- Tables: The final presentation may include maximum of 3 tables of up to 10 rows x 10 columns.
- Graphs and Images: The final presentation may include a maximum of three graphs or images.
- The Presenter will be provided an overall time of 10 minutes including discussion (8+2 min).
- Presentations should be submitted to the preview room on the morning of presentation.

Guidelines for PG Quiz
- Only one team will be entertained from one college.
- Interested PG students should submit the name of their team by 25th August 2017 via e-mail at isaconjodhpur2017@gmail.com, after approval from their Head of the Departments.
- Only two PG students from same college are allowed in one team.
- Registration of the conference is mandatory to participate in PG Quiz.
- Preliminary round for PG Quiz will be conducted in LT-1 on 2nd September 2017 at 4:00 PM.
- Maximum five teams will be selected for the final round.
